Description

The Fokker TV was a Dutch ridge-wing bomber with a mixed design from the interwar period and World War II. The drive was provided by two radial motors Bristol Pegasus XXVI with a power of 925 hp each. The flight of the prototype took place in 1937, and in the years 1938-1939 serial production was carried out, which led to the creation of 16 aircraft of this type. The deck armament consisted of a 20mm cannon and five 7.92mm machine guns. The plane could carry a load of bombs weighing up to 1000 kilograms.

Work on the Fokker TV aircraft began in 1935, with an order from the Dutch Air Force for a heavy aircraft capable of destroying enemy bombers as well as being a medium-range bomber itself. These highly unusual requirements prompted the Fokker plant to create a twin-engine machine with a very strong - by contemporary standards - on-board armament, capable of carrying quite a large load of bombs. However, when the Fokker TV plane entered the line in 1938, its "intercepting" function was abandoned and the training of the crews was carried out in terms of its classic use as a bomber. Fokker TV planes took part in the fight against the German invasion in May 1940 with some successes.

This set includes parts to build one plane model. Contains injection molded resin parts, photo-etched parts and a decal sheet.
