Description

The Bristol Buckmaster was a British low-wing training aircraft from the Second World War and the post-war period. The prototype flight took place in 1944. The machine was put into service in the same year. The drive was provided by two Bristol Centaurus VII engines, 2585 HP each. The length of the aircraft was 14.2 meters with a wingspan of 21.9 meters. The machine did not have on-board weapons. The Buckmaster model was designed and produced by the Bristol Airplane Company in accordance with the specification of the Ministry of Aviation, which was aimed at acquiring an advanced training aircraft dedicated to future pilots of 2- and 4-engine bombers.

The manufacturer, in order to shorten the research and development work, used many elements of the Buckingham plane, and modified the wing structure and completely changed the fuselage structure. When it entered service in 1945, the Bristol Buckmaster proved to be a fairly successful training machine. It remained in service until the mid-1950s. In total, about 110-120 machines of this type were built.

This set includes parts to build one plane model. Contains injection molded resin parts, photo-etched parts and a decal sheet.
